Mary primarily focuses her practice on supporting the firm with its defense of school district litigation.
She is admitted to practice in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. Mary completed her externship with The Honorable Juan R. Sánchez, Chief Judge of the United States District Court in the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.
She has been recognized by South Jersey Legal Services for her Excellence in Pro Bono Service.
- Defended pharmaceutical companies in multistate class actions, products liability and personal injury cases brought in various state and federal jurisdictions, including cases in federal multidistrict litigation.
- Represented corporate clients in suits brought by state Attorneys General seeking restitution and civil penalties under state consumer protection laws for alleged fraudulent sales and marketing practices.
- Worked on complex cases including claims for:
- Breach of contract
- Business disparagement
- Tortious interference with contractual relations
- Abuse of process
- Civil conspiracy
- Constructive trust
- Lis pendens
- TROs and injunctions
- Violations of state consumer protection statutes
- Prepared Petition for Adjudication of Incapacity and Co-guardianship and represented guardianship petitioners at a court hearing before the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas (Petition granted).
- Drafted legal memoranda, motions and petitions including:
- Motions to dismiss
- Motions for summary judgment
- Motions to compel
- Motions in limine
- Petitions to strike and/or open judgment
- Motions for judgment notwithstanding the verdict
- Drafted pleadings, interrogatories, requests for admission, and requests for production of documents.
- Assessed cases against settlement criteria to determine desirability of settlement versus proceeding to trial.
- Prepared trial exhibits and worked on trial teams.
